Young people are encouraged to bring their creative ideas to life at Drug Aware Open Access Youth Arts Studio.
Young people aged between 12 and 22 years with an interest in the arts or youth culture are welcome to visit our Open Access Youth Arts Studio. Open two afternoons each week, the studio is a safe and supportive space for aspiring young artists and young people to participate in arts activities including music, multimedia, painting and urban art. All Open Access programs are free of charge.
Open Access programs are staffed by qualified youth workers who can provide referrals to other youth services; and community artists and guest facilitators are employed to run the arts activities and workshops. All staff hold current Working With Children Checks and National Police Clearances.
A pick-up service is available for North Albany Senior High School students and others within the Albany area, and a drop-off service can then take them home. Healthy refreshments and snacks are also available, free of charge.
